Pet Loss Resources
Anatole France
A pet is a member of the family. They bring companionship, fun, and joy to our lives. We know that your pet is an important part of your life and that this time is not easy, it can be painful and difficult to say goodbye to a pet. It’s hard to make the decision to let a pet go, but it can be for the best and can prevent unnecessary suffering. Our team understands the experience you are facing and is here to support and help. Saying goodbye will never be an easy process. Our team wants to make it as easy as we possibly can. At Marina Bay Animal Hospital, we treat your pet like part of the family. They are part of our family too.

When it comes to facing this decision for your pet, our goal is to provide you with all of the resources you need to make a confident and informed decision that you and your family can be comfortable with. We are proud to partner with Fond Memories. Fond Memories provides comprehensive and compassionate cemetery and cremation services for Houston and its surrounding communities. There are many resources to help with this discussion and transition available, here are some helpful links:
Children and Pet Loss, The Association for Pet Los and Bereavement?

Patricia A Brill, Ph.D., a longtime client of our hospital, has composed a reassuring children?s book to help explain the process and the emotions associated from a comforting perspective.
