The Galveston County Animal Services Division provides both Field Animal Control Services and Animal Sheltering. The Galveston County Animal Resource Center is the largest animal shelter in Galveston County, providing shelter to more than 8,000 animals each year. The shelter is an open-intake facility where no animal will be turned away.
